San Diego
San Diego is the perfect destination in California for families with kids. The city is a modern metropolis with kids’ attractions like SeaWorld, the San Diego Zoo, and Legoland. History buffs will also find the city interesting too. The city’s Old Town, where Spaniards established a settlement in 1769, is now a state park.
Gaslamp Quarter is also an interesting neighborhood to visit while in San Diego. Now a contemporary recreational area, it used to be the bawdy Stingaree from the late 1800s up until the 1900s. There are numerous historical landmarks in this part of San Diego, dating back to when it was still Stingaree and had all these bordellos, gambling halls, and saloons.
